TEEN WOLF

Based on the 1985 movie of the same name this series is about a teenage shape shifter going through the normal and not so normal changes of the average teenage dude. Now that the ‘not so formal’ formalities are over and can be all girly and crazy about who stars in this AWESOME show. We know him as the little boy from Maid in Manhattan, this boy has blossomed from a cute innocent child into a GORGEOUS hunk of sexiness he is the one, the only...Tyler Posey (character name: Scott McCall....aaaahhhh and the crowd goes wild). And then of cause there's the lesser not so awesome but equally cool co-stars like Stiles played by Dylan O’Brien who is Scott’s best friend, Derek hale played by Tyler Hoechlin, who plays the Alpha wolf of the pack; Scott’s girlfriend Allison Argent played by some random unknown (to me ) Crystal Reed and her best friend Lydia Martin played some other random unknown (to me) Holland Roden, there's also some other eye candy in the form of a popular guy with adoptive parent issues, Jackson Whittermore played by Colton Haynes. This plus the other randoms like parents and other wolfs in the pack make up the awesome cast of Teen Wolf.

Now I'm not gona go into detail about what’s going on in the series, you can watch it yourself!!! But what I will do is talk about how actually terrible the show is...yes I said terrible...and no I don't mean terrible I don't watch it, but terrible in the sense of ‘where in the world did they get their SGI Special Effects dudes???’. I mean really, this is a successful series as far as I know couldn't you get any better special effects than what you have??? I’m in the second season episode 9 and every time I see them change into wolves or see some random other creature of the night I LAUGH MY ASSS OFF!!!! And then there's the fact that some of these actors really suck at their job of ACTING!!! Although there are all these signs telling me not to watch this show and almost screaming at me about how inferior this crap is...I’m still absolutely IN LOVE with this show!!! I think the thing that keeps me coming back is the one the only...NO NOT Posey...but....Mr Dylan O’Brien. His sarcastic tone to everything that happens in the show is so absolutely brilliant!!! He makes me want to watch every episode and then there's the fact that there's not one episode that does not show the AWESOMENESS of some hot guys abs and GORGEOUSNESS!!!! So in all I give this show a thumbs and toes up!!! A must watch in this sad un-supernatural world, even if it’s just to see some hot guys pretend to be werewolves.

Magic Mike

Oh how magical you are Mike!!! Ladies, I'm sure you’ve heard of this movie??? If not let me give you ‘the’ reason to watch it...hot guys stripping!!! And that's all I needed to hear to get my ass off that couch at home and make a trip to the movie theatre and watch this heavenly sent film. And the fact that the guys doing the stripping are Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer and Matthew McConaughey; also starring Joe Manganiello (Trueblood), Matt Bomer (White Collar), Adam Rodríguez (CSI Miami) and Cody Horn (absolutely no idea where she comes from); doesn't hurt one bit!!! Now once you get over the abs, butt cheeks and dry humping the movie isn’t actually that bad, but it’s also not that good either. The film is based on a struggling entrepreneur Mike (Tatum) who befriends a 19 year old boy Adam (Pettyfer) who has just moved to Tampa, Florida. Mike helps Adam get a job at a club he works at, Adam is drawn into this world of desire, women, sex and drugs, and that's where it starts to get weird!!!

I mean don't get me wrong the stripping and dancing in the movie is more than satisfactory but when Adam starts to use and abuse drugs and alcohol the actual plot of the movie is revealed. It’s actually a weird story line of a troubled teen, who goes in the wrong direction and a older guy (Mike) who wants to change his direction, if you catch my drift?!?! I don't want to give too much of the story away but I do think all ladies should watch it, because as weird as it might be there are awesome guys showing everything except their ‘meat and 2 veg’. What I can advise is that you watch this movie with a bunch of crazy girlfriends, cause there’s bound to be some ‘wooohoooo’s’ and ‘take it off’ moments!!! And to the creators of this movie I would just like to say THANK YOU!!! Thank you so much for this awesome ABTASTIC film. That’s it from me today!!! I have nothing else to say of the subject...oh wait.... I forgot to say the most important thing about this movie...BEST MOVIE EVER!!!!!! (and scene)

21 Jump Street

So I just watched 21 Jump Street, and yeah I'm gona say it “BEST MOVIE EVER!!!!”  Yes, it’s another remake and yes the world is obviously out of ideas, because all that seems to be coming out now-a-days is remakes and sequels. I mean seriously people can’t you come up with anything new?? Find a book and make a film from that but now you’re sitting around and just rewriting and adding on to already existing movie franchises. But let me get back to typing about the movie I just watched, 21 Jump Street.

It was probably the most hilarious movie I’ve watched this year. Like that truly laugh every second of the movie funny, that can’t even breathe between jokes funny, that giggling like a school girl funny that makes your stomach muscles ache with either pain or pleasure I can never decide. I thought it would be the average adults pretend to be students thing and blah blah blah, but it was actually done in a great funny as hell way. The movie is about two guys who become friends in police academy. They are assigned to a revived division named 21 Jump Street that specialises in infiltrating high schools. The two cops Morton Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Greg Jenko (Channing Tatum) are assigned to infiltrate their old high school to stop a new synthetic drug from spreading to other schools. And then insert funnyness and all the drama one could expect from a movie with Jonah Hill. And dare I say that Channing Tatum is a good Johnny Depp hotness replacement. Let me just clarify something very important: I'm not under any false pretence that Channing can act, cause everyone knows that that gorgeous hunk of heavenly sexiness was blessed with looks that could put me in a coma for days but the “how to act” folder was left out when that fine specimen was created. Even though that might be a universal truth he doesn't actually SUCK in the movie. He actually did a great job (and that is saying something people). The cast made me happy there was Dave Franco (James Franco’s little brother), Brie Larson (the chick from United States of Tara) and Ice Cube (who doesn't really need a ‘the dude from’). There is also a surprise cameo of the original 21 Jump Street dudes, Johnny Depp (Tom Hanson) and Peter DeLuise (Doug Penhall).

It was a really awesome movie and I highly recommend it as a must buy and watch four hundred and twenty-seven times type of movie. You’ll laugh your ass off and gain all the weight again by the amount of pity eating you’ll be doing when you realise that Channing is off limits to us mere mortals.

The Avengers Movie Review

This is officially my favouritest movie of the year and yes the year is not evens half over and there are still a million and one movies to come out, but this is my favourite. It was so beyond EPIC, from the first scene it was like BOOM, BANG, CRASH and any other action sounds you can come up with!!! And dare I say that it was worth the 3D glasses headache!!! I LOVED THE MOVIE!!! It’s the type of movie that once it’s over you want to press play again and again and again!!! (Singing Lady GaGa in my head now!!)

So let’s just recap on the gist of the story: a group of superheroes and elite special agents and solders are grouped together by a government division know as S.H.I.E.L.D. They have been assembled to fight against a brute unknown force wanting to take over the world; the group is code named The Avengers initiative. The super villain in this film is Loki a Norse God played by Tom Hiddleston ; he has come to earth to find the Tesseract (the square blue light thingy from Captain America) so he can open a portal to another world and let in his army of weird alien stuff (can’t remember the actual name). The Avengers are then brought together to fight against him and prevent this impending war. The team includes: Hulk/Bruce Banner played by Mark Ruffalo, Thor (Loki’s half brother and the Norse God of Lighting) played by Chris Hemsworth, Captain America played by the gorgeous and amazingly talented Chris Evans, Iron Man/Tony Stark play by no one other than the awesome Robert Downey Jr.; Also Black Widow/Natasha Romanoff play by Scarlett Johansson, Hawkeye/Clint Barton played by Jeremy Renner and Nick Fury the leader of S.H.I.E.L.D played by Samuel L Jackson. Loki uses his powers and persuades Hawkeye and one of the S.H.I.E.L.D physicists Dr. Erik Selvig played by Stellan Skarsgard to join him in finding the cube (Tesseract). So now, after they’ve clearly established the good and bad people in the film the movie is all about how the Avengers must work together as a team to save the world, which is of course a difficult task seeing as how they are all such leading role characters and don't necessarily play nice with others. As the movie progresses they see that they bring out the best in each other and when the portal is eventually opened they can fight together like a well oiled machine of AWESOMENESS!!!!!!! The actors played their characters brilliantly especially those we hadn’t met before like Hawkeye and the new Hulk dude and even the S.H.I.E.L.D agent Maria Hill played by Cobie Smulders (Robin Schebatsky from How I Met Your Mother ) who even knew she would be in the film and be such an amazing character??

Know let’s get to my critiques of the film....there are none!!! I loved absolutely everything about the movie. I mean, I even like that is was in 3D and if you didn't know this already I kinda hate 3D movies!!! The action in this movie was EPIC and there was a certain level of comedy that was expected but also unexpected (if you know what I mean). It wasn't too long and had just the right amount of drama. I have been waiting for this movie for-like-ever and when it finally came out I was second in line to watch it and the first idiot to want to stand up and clap hands at the end of the movie. And being that this was a Marvel film I stayed until the end of the credits to see if there were any hidden scenes and yes there was one!! But don't even ask me what they said or did in the scene because the stupid movie theatre people put the lights on and I could see nothing. But from the 3 seconds I could make out it was the dude Loki was in alliance with saying something about taking over the world himself, so I guess we have a villain for the second movie. We also have several other Marvel films coming up, like Captain America 2 and Iron Man 3, so I doubt we have to worry about a new villain so soon. Anyways...back to the movie...my favourite parts of the movie is any scene with Iron Man in it!!! Anything he says is so arrogant and condescending and laced with so much sarcasm it makes my heart skip a beat. I love it when Loki says “I have an army” and he says “Well, we have a Hulk!!” My other favourite line in the film is when Captain America is giving out orders to the team and then looks at the Hulk and just says: “Hulk...SMASH” Hahahahaha!!!

It was definitely worth the trip to the movie theatre and worth every extra rand spent on the 3D-ness of it all. I highly recommend this film and hope that you will enjoy it or have enjoyed it as much as I did!!! So now to close off I say the words I know you want to read......BEST MOVIE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!

The Hunger Games Movie Review

OMG, can you spell AWESOME??.....YES, Hunger Games!!!!!! It was an amazingly awesome movie!!! From the beginning to the end!! There was drama and romance and action and even a little bit of comedy!!! I don't think they could have cast better actors in their respective roles. Woody Harrelson as Haymitch was completely brilliant he brought a comedic value to the character that was so beyond unexpected it knocked me off my seat. I remember him from Will and Grace and I loved him in there, yes he’s been in other movies and stuff but that is what my brain remembers him in, seeing as I'm bored and rewatching all the seasons of Will and Grace (I should do a post on that don't you think??). And who’d of thought that Elizabeth Banks could be so unrecognisable??? I mean seriously!!! I was sitting there for part of the movie obsessively trying to figure out who Effie was in real life, and then a few days later I remembered and all I had in my head was Zack and Miri Make a Porno!!!! I knew the main characters of course, Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss, Josh Hutcherson as Peeta and Liam Hemsworth as Gale but then there are the lesser characters who played their parts brilliantly like Stanley Tucci (the gay dude from Burlesque) as Caesar and Lenny Kravits as Cinna and the best casting ever was President Snow played by Donald Sutherland (The old white haired dude from; so many movies his got a Wikipedia page specially dedicated to his filmography, but to name the one I remember; Fierce People). And don't even get me started on the character of the Rue played by Amandla Stenberg, the awesome little badass girl from Colombiana.

But enough about the casting and the actors let’s get the main differences between the book and the movie. And just to recap the story goes a little something like this: In the near future there are 12 districts and each year a boy and girl tribute is selected from the districts and forced to take part in the Hunger Games. A game where there is only one winner and the only way to win is to kill off your competition, please refer to my previous blog post for more information on the book. Ok>>>back to my judging the movie... I have only one critique...The fighting scene when the Games start. Why in all that is good and awesome did they put the sound off???? Please can someone from that editing room call me!!! Gary (director), what were you thinking when you told the special effects dudes and dudets to put the sound off??? Yes, it kinda makes the scene more dramatic and puts you on the edge of your seat with the feeling of being too scared to even make a sound either; but I still wanted to hear the screams of pain and the sound of war raging on!! I feel it would’ve been way cooler (excuse the lack of a better term) for us to hear the gruesome fight scene in the beginning of the Games. The book describes it so well and in such grotesque detail and I would have loved to see the nastiness (if I may) in the film. Oh and can we just talk about the horrible adaptation of their coming out/opening ceremony outfits??? Me thinks the clothes was on fire for a reason and that was so that if could die a horrible sad unfashionable death. Other than that slightly short critique I loved the feel of the movie, the romance was not over done and they managed to get some comedic scenes in there mostly with Haymitch and Effie. The sad depressing scenes in the beginning of the film were perfect, even the selection scene was brilliantly done. Overall the movie was a success, what with the whole world going crazy and everyone comparing the opening week sales to Breaking Dawn.

 I am very excited to hear that the second movie will be directed by Francis Lawrence (no relation to Jennifer Lawrence), he's done movies such as Water for Elephants and I Am Legend and directed many music videos including Beyoncè, Run the World and Britney Spears, Slave For You. It will be interesting to see what he brings to the film and how he changes the feel and ness of the film. Catching Fire is said to start filming in the summer of 2012 which is soon and be released late in the year 2013. But let us not be worried about that right now because between now and then there are still a bijillion and one other MUST SEE movies coming out!!! To name one THE AVENGERS!!!!!!!! So goobye, and may the odds be ever in your favour!!!!

Fallen by Lauren Kate

A book, an amazing book, a great book, a book of such magnitude that when I started reading it I failed to put it down until the very last word; which was AWESOME!!!!! If you don't know about the book I'm very sorry to inform you of all the greatness and astounding pleasure you’re missing out on!!! It is a really intriguing book about a girl who has an unnatural pull towards a guy who she has never met before and who seems to hate her with every fibre of his being. And yet of course she is still drawn to him and then, enter bad boy type character that is falling for her (Lucinda Price). As the book continues we find out that they are...wait for it....ANGELS!!! And not just random angels but a good angel and a bad angel; which is probably the simplest way I could put it. And further more the book continues to tell us why Lucinda is drawn to Daniel (the one that hates her) and why Cam (the bad boy) wants to be with her!!! And it’s something not expected and so amazingly fresh and new that I almost grew wings myself and flew around the world twice just because I didn't know how to express my happiness.

The series has 4 books, Fallen, Torment, Passion and Rapture (the latter still to be released) and I don't know how they’re gona wrap up this story in the fourth book but I hope it has a totally fabulous ending. One that makes me happy and gives me room for some imagination, but not so much room that I can kill the characters in a sudden meteor shower or something random and crazy like that!!! I’ve immensely enjoyed all 3 books and I'm now impatiently waiting for the release of the 4^th one, but seeing as how we live in this wonderful place called South Africa, where everything we get is about 13 weeks behind, I'm not that hopeful. And I don’t say 13 as a random number that just floated into my head I say this as all the TV series that we get here in SA is usually exactly 13 episodes behind.

Well back to the book...there have been talk about a movie adaptation but nothing has been finalised, so I guess we’ll never get to see the AWESOMENESS of Daniel Grigori, Cam and Lucinda Price. But even though that might be the case I still want to express my opinion on who should play the role of Daniel...wait for it....Alex Pettyfer!!! Can’t you just see him surrounded by white luscious beautiful glowing wings??? At least that's how I see him in my head whenever I think of his gorgeousness. But anyways I'm getting ahead of myself!!! If your bored enough with your life you could always go check out the rand fake trailers uploaded on youtube!! I mean really people you obviously sat there for at least an hour so you could create a fake movie trailer...and I thought I was weird!!! I recommend this book whole heartedly and hope that if you do read it you get as much pleasure from the story as I have!!! WOW that sounded so formal!!! Let me bring down a notch..... Go read the book or die a sad evil death of boredom and ignorance. Wait that's to rude and demanding, let me change that once more.....Please go read the book guys, it’s like really nice and I mean who doesn't like nice things????.....that’s way too ‘nice’!!!! This whole ending the post thing isn’t working right now so I'm gona go old school...

Animation Films

How happy are you that I'm not talking about random movie with some rather pretty guys in it!!! I know my obsession with gorgeousness is a little out of hand, but seeing as my blog is about animated films there probably won’t be all that much talk about hot guys and girls....I think?!

So let’s get to it!!! Who doesn’t just love a good animated film or episode of their favourite cartoon?? Crazy people, that's who!!! When you’re a child it’s all your about!!! Cartoons are like the awesomest thing in the history of the world but now that we’re older it’s become a secret (or not secret at all) pleasure. Now I don't care much for the Oscar nominated animations because that usually entails a deeper underlying message that is a moral and positive message to the people of the world!! I mean I watch it all, I just don't care that much for it, such as UP, Toy Story 2 &3. I'm more into the random pointless animations like Surfs Up, The Incredibles and Bolt (which should be called Rhino because he is far more AWESOME in the film than bolt will ever be!!!!) and then you get the awesomeness of Happy Feet 1, not 2 because 2 sucked ass!!! You can’t have a sequel to an animated film and have a different voice for one of the main characters!! Pinks voice is great and I love her but she is not Britney Murphy and the film just didn't have the right flow!! And let me just say something about Happy Feet: it’s probably my favourite animated film in the world but why does it get so weird at the end?? Like the whole over fishing issue comes up and how humans are basically ruining the world!!! So heavy for a kids movie!!  Not counting out any of the Classic Disney movies that has been awesome over the years like the original Lion king, Cinderella (although for the life of me I don't understand why they made a second and third Cinderella movie?!), Anastasia, and a bijillion others which could have me typing for the rest of the day!!!

Anyways, have you ever noticed how the small characters in animated films are always better and more entertaining than the actual main character??? Take Bolt for example; Rhino is a random minor character in the film yet I love him much more!! Or even The Incredibles where the little boy on the tricycle who rides pass the house is so cute and funny or even the youngest boy of the family who is HILARIOUS or Tangled where the horse is awesomer than Rapunzel herself and even the little chameleon is beyond funny.

Well that only leaves one thing left that has to be said: ANIMATED FILMS ARE BOSS!!! And no matter how old you are when you see a flying carpet (because they’re so frequently seen) the first song that comes to mind is.......???

Hunger Games

Ok so the following post is all about the book and soon to be film named Hunger games!!! Its a really awesome book and I'm simple going the cut and paste a section from my diary for you to read. I was bored one day and started a diary during my first year of varsity and then I wrote about the AWESOME book I'm reading and due to lack of energy I'm just gone paste that days entry onto my blog!! "Please keep all hands and feet inside the ride at all times, as this is going to be a rolercoaster ride, people" (GOSH that was like beyond cheesy!!)

Right now I'm busy reading ‘Catching Fire’ by Suzanne Collins. It is the second book in the trilogy that is The Hunger Games. This is just so by the way my new favouritest book!!! There are three books, namely Hunger Games, Catching Fire and Mockingjay. The movie is coming out in like March, so I'm impatiently waiting for that ness to come out!!! Let me just tell you about the book, just in case in the future; when people are presumably buying my ‘dairy of a rambling crazy girl’ like hotcakes and; this book has become old and no one has read it in like a bijillion years!!! It’s actually a very sad story; it’s about this girl who lives in one of the 12 districts of a new dictatorship-like government called the Capitol. She is a poor girl who sneaks into the woods to hunt for food for her family, a mother and younger sister. Every year there is a Hunger Games where the Capitol selects a boy and girl from each district to fight against and kill each other until only one remains. Now I'm not gona bore you with like details of everyone’s names and stuff but what essentially happens is that the girls sister gets chosen and she is like only 12 so she, Katniss, volunteers in her sisters place and then she is off to the games!!!  So the rest of the book is about how she survives and fights off the 23 other contestants in the games. She obviously wins, because there is 2 other books after the first one, so that was kind of a duh. But like the relationships she makes and stuff is what makes her journey to victory so interesting. This is where the sad part comes in cause she is basically a 18 year old girl (I think) who has to kill to survive. I'm only on the second book and I'm completely in love with the story. But let me stop talking about this AWESOME book!!! And go to the movie adaptation: Jennifer Lawrence, the girl from True Grit plays the lead role and then there’s the fact that two beyond HOT dudes are in the film (that doesn't hurt the, ‘must watch’ factor) Josh Huctherson (Journey to the Centre of the Earth dude) and Liam Hemsworth (Last Song dude). Ok so now I'm officially done talking about the movie and book.

The Avengers

Lets take a minute or 10 to discuss the AWESOMENESS that is the Avengers!!!!! How excited are you for this movie to come out??? Its been coming since the first Iron Man movie when we heard about S.H.I.E.L.D and then in the Incredible hulk when there is an end of credits scence with Tony Stark and some other guy!!! And that was when my brain started trying to figure out what was going on. Why the hell was Iron man in a scence of the Incredible Hulk??? Then things got even cooler when in Iron Man 2 S.H.I.E.L.D was like a main character and once again an end of credits scene revealed the discovery of Thor's hammer!!!! Thor came out after that and then Captain America and now...now we wait for the 4th of May!!! For the movie of the year to be released for all my dreams to come true and for my eyes to see so much GORGEOUSNESS that it might just explode out of my head!!!

Oh yes, there is a whole mess of HOT guys in this film, from Chris Hemsworth (Thor) to Chris Evans (Captain America) and even Mark Ruffalo (Hulk) and Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man) is beyond Beautiful!! And also the new comer Hawkeye played by  Jeremy Renner is 'totally salty' (Jennifer's Body reference, nice). And  of course not forgetting the Bootyliciousness of miss Scarlett Johansson, I mean any women who can pull off a tight black leather suit is like a Super S-T-A-R to me!!! (look at Kate Beckinsale) And it doesnt hurt to look at her curvaceous body in that skin tight suit. Oh ja, did I forget to mention that I'm an Actress and Actor Whore!!! Well just so by the way I judge movies on the cast members looks aswell as the actuall awesomeness of the movie!!! And I mean most of the time people watch movie because of who is in them or at least I do (most of the time)!!! 

  

But anyways I haven't really done much research into the film because I tend to go overboard when doing that and reading the whole plot of films and then I regret it at the end when I'm watching the movie knowing exactly what is going to happen and why and what the director said about it!!! So i leave you with my CRAZY anticipation for this 'Coming Soon' film and a word of advise i got from another super hero move: "The impossible is possible...if-you-are-AWESOME!!!!!" (Rhino, from Bolt)
